Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT) Safety Guidelines

Important Information for Clients with Medical Conditions

At VibroSound, your safety and well-being are our highest priority. Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT) offers a powerful tool for deep relaxation, nervous system support, and energetic balance. While suitable for most individuals, certain medical conditions may require extra care or professional clearance.

Please review the following guidelines before using the VibroSound lounge or any frequency-based wellness tools.

Pacemakers and Implanted Cardiac Devices

Maintain a minimum distance of 60 cm (24 inches) between the sound transducer and the location of your device.

Do not lie directly over the vibrational source if you have a pacemaker or defibrillator.

Always consult your cardiologist prior to use to ensure compatibility and safety.

Pregnancy

VAT is not recommended during the first trimester.

Use in the second and third trimesters should only proceed with medical approval.

Avoid applying vibration directly to the abdominal area.

Please inform your practitioner if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Chemotherapy and Active Cancer Treatment

If you are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or other active cancer treatments, please obtain clearance from your oncologist or healthcare provider before beginning.

While gentle sound-based sessions may support relaxation, more intense frequencies should be used cautiously during treatment and only with medical guidance.

Epilepsy or Seizure Disorders

Certain vibrational frequencies may affect individuals with epilepsy or seizure disorders.

Clients with a history of seizures should receive clearance from their neurologist and begin under supervision, using low-intensity settings.

Severe Cardiovascular Conditions

If you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, arrhythmias, or a recent history of heart attack, consult your cardiologist before engaging in vibroacoustic sessions.

VAT may influence circulation, which may not be appropriate in some cardiovascular conditions.

Blood Clotting Disorders (e.g., DVT)

VAT enhances circulation and lymphatic flow. If you have a known history of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), stroke risk, or clotting disorders, please consult your physician before use.

Medical clearance is strongly recommended.

Recent Surgery

Avoid applying VAT directly over areas still healing from recent surgery.

Resume use only once fully healed and with your doctor’s approval.

General Safety Tips

Always inform your practitioner of any medical conditions, medications, or recent procedures.

Hydrate before and after your session to support your body’s natural processes.

If you experience discomfort, dizziness, or unusual sensations, end the session and consult your healthcare provider.

Results may vary based on individual health, condition, and usage.

Consent & Clearance

If any of the above conditions apply to you, we may request written clearance from your healthcare provider before starting sessions. Your comfort, safety, and empowerment are at the heart of everything we do.
